Clinical trials in nutritional studies play a key role in developing evidence-based dietary interventions and their influence on health outcomes. Clinical trials in nutrition includes randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, and intervention studies to inform effectiveness, safety, and mechanisms of possible dietary strategies, and aid in the formation of clinical practice guidelines, public health recommendations, and development of personalized dietary programs. This session will introduce the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical trials in dietary interventions, and address best practices around participant recruitment, outcome measures, and data analysis. Through this presentation, attendees will be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of how clinical research is helping to advance nutrition science and develop effective dietary interventions for health promotion and disease prevention.
